Gippsland Water

1.68MW Southeast, Victoria

Gippsland Water are moving to 100% renewable energy by 2025 and will reach net zero carbon emissions by 2030 with all sites powered by 100% renewable energy technologies, including solar. Mass Energy were engaged across 3 sites including Traralgon, Moe and the Gippsland Water Factory. As all sites were located in flood plain zones and required high set racking with clearances above 1 meter, requiring specialist piling and build techniques across the projects.

ProTen

1.2MW New South Wales, South Australia

ProTen-which specialises in the design, construction, and operation of high-quality broiler chicken farms—needed to offset its energy requirements with a reliable and sustainable power source. Mass Energy successfully installed and commissioned the project in six weeks, enabling ProTen to start realising power production and cost abatement in a timely manner. Working with client specified suppliers, we quickly developed a project plan and logistics delivery programme to ensure the project was delivered at pace, without compromising quality.

GWM Water

442.5kW Northwest Victoria

GWM Water’s sustainability strategy is underpinned by not only the reduction of water usage across its network, but also efficient usage of energy required by the facilities and assets GWM controls. To achieve these goals, Mass Energy was called upon to complete a mechanical installation of ≈0.5 MW of ground mount solar across five sites in Northwest Victoria. The projects were completed consecutively within a two-week timeframe-across an area the size of Tasmania-in order to meet our client's deadline.

True Foods

500kW Maryborough, Victoria

True Foods is on a 27-acre site complete with three acres of under-roof housing industrial ovens and packaging machinery. The amount of available land presented a viable business case for a ground mount solar installation and installation began November 2018. As a result of poor ground conditions and issues with the appointed contractors’ works, the project suffered significant delays so Mass Energy were engaged to first evaluate then subsequently contracted for remedial works in April 2019—completing the mechanical installation within six days.

Woods Group is an agribusiness focused on meeting market demand for premium and innovative agricultural and food products. Having engaged Smart Commercial Solar for an EPC on a 700kW ground mount project-to offset high energy use in the adjacent seed oil processing plant-they were eager to progress the project prior to peak processing season. Mass Energy completed all mechanical works including panel installation, racking and piling, working within logistical parameters that were dictated by product delivery from a range of suppliers
