82.7kW Sunshine, Victoria

Brimbank City Council is actively pursuing a net-zero emissions outcome as part of its ESD framework. Inline with this initiative, Mass Energy was engaged to design a bespoke Powershade solution for the Council’s multi-level car park. This required overcoming engineering challenges of installing the asset on a split-level deck and accommodating existing misaligned structural columns utilising variable base plate positioning. Structural installation was completed within 10 days enabling council to minimise community disruption while keeping the car park open.

Corowa RSL

305.2 kW Corowa, New South Wales

The Corowa RSL Club has high energy demands and had used all its available rooftop area. This, coupled with a high level of customer engagement, makes them an ideal candidate for Powershade. A sizable parking lot, plus the desire to keep customers engaged with its facility and amenities by offering vehicular shade, would be advantageous in a region with peak summer temperatures in the 30s nearly half the year. As one of the first leisure industry providers with an asset such as Powershade, the club industry has taken a keen interest.

Holmesglen Tafe

154.5 kW Moorabbin, Victoria

Holmesglen TAFE undertook a program to install a dual-purpose solar car park structure that delivered all the inherent benefits one would expect from the asset and combined it with an inbuilt training facility. To facilitate this Powershade integrated two different module sizes into the canopy and left the panels accessible to enable the students to assess the entire engineered structure. The training facility is the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere and one Powershade has been proud to deliver.

Airatherm

178 kW Bayswater, Victoria

A boilers and tank manufacturer in Melbourne, Airatherm had all but exhausted its available rooftop for solar installations. High energy demands—combined with a desire for increased customer and staff satisfaction—led the manufacturer to Powershade as a value-add asset to both the business and its bottom line. The success of the project has been endorsed by Airatherm, with an extension to the project completed in the first quarter of this year—increasing in size from 138kW to 178kW, making all parking space premium.

Supa IGA

99.8 kW Boonah, Queensland

This Supa IGA location have limited roof space situated on a modest footprint (compared to its competitors in the supermarket industry) plus a range of rooftop air conditioning and refrigeration compressors required to service the store. It selected two Powershade products to offset the substantial electricity usage of this equipment while providing an enhanced customer experience through shelter in a harsh environment.
